My thoughts on muck
Hey, my name is David. And I'm a Junior in Highschool just trying to find my place in this world. You know, what I'm supposed to be doing along this narrow road. I believe that everyone has a purpose, just not everyone knows it or finds it, or takes the time to seek it out.
Right now though, I'm resting, on the side of the road, letting all the other travelers pass by.
It's interesting, the new prespective that you get when you're sick. Since you're on the side of the road (really though in the ditch) you see things that others miss. Things make you more easily angered. Maybe though that's cause you're stuck in all the muck. All I know is, is that whenever I'm sick I get easily mad.
You know what's the one thing that I want though? To not feel like everyone's passing me by whenever I'm sick. I mean yeah they shouldn't stop for me on their journey's cause afterall, everyone is sick at somepoint, and if everyone stoped to pity everyone else then where would we be? All stuck in the muck. And that wouldn't be any fun. No my whole point is whenever I'm stuck in the muck, I'd like it if someone maybe just tried to pull me out.
You're probably thinking, what the heck are you talking about David? How can someone help to get you out of the muck when you're sick? Well not everyone who is sick is physicaly sick. Think about all those people who are dealing with depression, and well spiritual death? We stop and help them out of the muck, why not when someone is sick physically? Yeah yeah yeah, you give me all this whole: "well when someone is REALLY sick I certainly help them out" well that's great and all, but when you're stuck in the muck it's nice to get a little tug out of it. Like I said not in the whole physical aspect but you know emotionally it would be helpful.
Yeah so in my life I've felt like I've been left in the muck a couple times. I mean once when I was like..... 15? Or was it 16? Anyways I ended up in the hospital for a day, and then on bed rest for like a month and during that whole month I didn't get any visitors. But you know what? Oh well! Life isn't always about me! That just challenges me to notice and try to aid when another traveler I know is stuck in the muck!
So my chalenge for you today as my fellow travelers is to aid one another in pulling each other out of the muck when stuck on the side of the road.
Jetting out,
David

Hey David, Here's a little hand out of the muck. You're a Junior in High School. Enjoy life for a little while. Go to college. If not right out of High School then find a job or join the military and get some high tech training and experience, but go to college. An education is invaluable. As far as finding your place n life. I'm 36 and still looking for mine too. Job advice....You are going to spend a third of your waking hours at work, make sure you enjoy what you do. If you like it, you will excel. If you excel, the money and a more comfortable lifestyle will follow.
May your view of life always be from the top of a mountain,
Hurricane Bob

Hi David,
I too can relate to your story as it reminds me a lot about my "journey". If you'd like to see what I discovered you can check out my posting about it at http://reasontobelieve.blogspot.com/2004/10/my-story.html
